There is a kind of value in a mother that is easy to overlook because it’s always been there—the steady presence, the quiet strength, the way she holds a family together without asking to be seen. The love, the guidance, the wisdom gained over a lifetime—these are the things that shape us, often without us fully realizing it.
The Mother’s Day Project is about taking a moment to recognize that—to bring your mother into the frame not just as part of the family, but as someone whose presence matters, and to create something that reflects not just what she has done, but what she means—to you, to your family, and to the life you share.
These are classic portrait sessions, formal yet relaxed and comfortable in its approach. Nothing forced, nothing overly constructed. Just enough structure to hold the moment, and enough freedom to allow something real to emerge.
The completed work will be presented in an exhibition, bringing these individual moments together into a shared narrative, offering the wisdom of each Mom in the work. An opening reception will offer an opportunity to experience the work in person and gather in recognition of the connections that inspired it. Session are filling up and available for the months surrounding Mother's Day.
There is a quiet importance in choosing to do this now. Time moves forward without asking. As mothers, we come to understand just how quickly time moves—how children grow, almost imperceptibly, from small children into full lives, often before we’ve had the chance to fully take it in.
Bringing your mother, or multiple generations together, is a way of pausing within that movement—of recognizing what exists today, rather than waiting for a later time that never quite arrives. It is not about marking an occasion as much as it is about honoring presence while it is still here.
Special events like this always fill quickly, and availability is limited. Booking early gives you the best chance to reserve a place that works for your schedule and ensures you do not miss out on the experience. Several spots are still available and we hope you'll be one to fill them.
At JKLentini Photography, each session is approached with intention, care, and a high level of professionalism, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully handled from beginning to end. Participation in this project becomes more than a portrait—it is an opportunity to create something that reflects legacy, love, and a lasting sense of family connection.
This project is for those who understand the importance of preserving something that may otherwise go unspoken.
